Josephine McGillivray
September 25, 1926 - August 5, 2018

Josephine McGillivray, of Wausau, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill. She was 91 years old. She was born on September 25, 1926, in Austria, a daughter of the late Karl and Julianna Pfluegl. She married Mathias Laub in 1946, he preceded her in death. She married James McGillivray in 1970, the couple later divorced.

Josephine was a seamstress and also spent much of her time helping whenever needed in her church. She was a member of SS Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, Martin (Judith) Laub of Wausau; grandchildren, Andrew Laub, Helena (David) Wright and Laura (Ronald) Finley; brothers, Viktor (Katie), Fritz and Willi (Katie) and sisters, Aloisia, Monika and Lina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Langlade County Humane Society, 2204 Clermont Street, Antigo, WI 54409.

"You have my deepest condolences for your loss of Josephine. Death is truly an enemy of all of us. Our loving heavenly father Jehovah will reunite us with our lost loved ones soon as promised in the Bible book of Revelation in chapter 21 and verses 3,4. These verses may bring you much comfort. "
