Royce Dean Reit, age 78, the son of William and Ethel (Lutjens) Reit, was born February 4, 1940 in Hull, Iowa. He died in the arms of Jesus on August 4, 2018 in Omaha. Nebraska.
Royce graduated from Hull High School in 1958. He served in the United States Navy in Syracuse, New York and Istanbul, Turkey, from July of 1958 to July of 1962. In 1963 he married LuCille Kramer. He worked for the Omaha World Herald as a graphic artist in the advertising department for 34 years. Thankful for having shared his life are his wife, Lucie, daughters, Michele (Brian) Youngberg, Kirstin (Matt) Gregurich and son Kyle (Peg) Reit; four granddaughters, Brianna (Paul) Brown, Emily (Jason) Monesmith, Natalie Youngberg and Erika Youngberg; three grandsons, Mason (Kiara) Gregurich, Tanner (Tory) Gregurich and Colin Gregurich; two great-granddaughters, Everleigh and Jovie; one sister, Noreen Jongma of Lawton, Iowa; other relatives and a host of special friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 10, 2018 at Christ Community Church (404 South 108th Court, Omaha, NE 68154. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Christ Community Church. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Royal Family Kids Camp.
