James Woodrow Howell, 71, passed away Tuesday, August 07, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2018. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
James was born on March 26, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to Norma Ruth and James Howell. He married Sarah Gray on November 28, 1998. He had a remodeling business and after retirement, taught motorcycle safety courses. James volunteered for the rodeo for twenty years. He loved to ride his Harley and cook ribs for his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; a sister; and stepdaughter, Denise Gray Stone.
James is survived by his wife, Sarah Howell; children, Kathy Cook, Scott Howell both of San Angelo, Cheryl Heginbottom and Norma Jean both of Colorado; stepdaughter, Terri Reeves (James) of Elm Mott; many grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Hubard (David) of Lubbock and Helen Graves (Pat) of Austin.
