Max C. Randall was born on Friday, February 13,1920 to the late Claude Randall and Georgia Crider Randall, in Fisher's Indiana.
Max was a World War II Veteran, where he served as a pilot and Captain in the United States Air Force, 397th Bomb Group, Squadron 599.
When Max returned from the War, he went into business with his brother, Alwyn Randall, operating a full service filling station on the westside of Indianapolis. Later in his life he started his own business as a custom home builder, building homes on the westside of Indianapolis and in the Hendricks County area. He remained a custom home builder until he retired at the age of 62.
He met his wife, Patricia Conner Randall on New Year's Eve, 1948. They were married on November 8, 1948 in a small ceremony in Fishers, IN. They spent the first five years of their marriage traveling together before settling down to start their family. On November 8, 2018 they celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Their love and devotion to one another is like no other.
Max lived his life as an ordinary man, but all who loved him knew he was an extraordinary man. His strong faith in God, pride of his country and dedication to his family remained the foundation for which he lived his life. He was a member of the Lynhurst Baptist Church for over 65 years.
He was ever so proud to be an American Veteran and to serve his country. Over the years he attended many Veteran's Day celebrations with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 2014 he was sponsored to participate in the Indy honor flight program, joining a group of veterans in Washington, D.C. where they were honored for their service. Upon their return to the Indianapolis International Airport they were greeted by a group of over 1,000 people to join in the celebration and thank them for their service. It was a celebration to be remembered forever more.
A few of his passions were spending time with family and friends, playing golf, going to auctions, spending time downstairs in his workshop and daily walks through the woods on their land. He also loved playing croquet, card games, watching the game show network and would spend hours playing the boardgame Aggravation. There were many rounds of Aggravation played at the Randall kitchen table over the years and his passion for this game was handed down to the younger generations, who no doubt will carry it on.
Max is survived by is loving wife of 70 years, Patricia Randall, his children Debbie Singleton (Ed), Diana Mazza, Phil Randall, Rodney Randall (the late Diana), his grandchildren, Trevar Mazza (Nikki), Ryan Singleton (Necia), Courtney Singleton, Nathan Singleton (Amber), Brandon Randall and great-grand children, Madelynn and Grayson Singleton, Opal and Willow Mazza, Zenley Singleton and his brother Rex Randall.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Claude and Georgia, his brother Alwyn Randall and his sisters Foneta Brown and Francis Kincaid.
Max C. Randall, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, family man and friend will be remembered with honor and pride from all those who knew him. He was a man of dignity, faith, courage and honor. He lived a beautiful and full life and his spirit will live on within our hearts as we say our goodbyes and celebrate his life.
Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home on Monday, August 13th from 10:00am to 1:00pm. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm, including a special military graveside service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
