Ruth Rebecca Miller, 92, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Mercy North, Clinton. A celebration of life for Ruth will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 11AM to 2PM at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. A Private service and burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery following the celebration of life. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com.
Ruth was born November 23, 1925 in Miles, Iowa, the daughter of John James and Agnes (Marshall) Soll. She was a 1944 Preston High School graduate. Ruth was a homemaker. She married Joseph L. Miller on February 8, 1947 in Clinton; he passed away October 22, 1979.
Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca (Daniel) Pry of Austin, TX and Deborah Miller of Clinton, IA; son, Joseph L. (Teri) Miller of Rock Island, IL; grandchildren, Rebecca Medina, Heather Pry, Jeffrey Lazcano-Pry, Joseph L. Miller and Jillian Miller and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Dean, parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
