Rita A. Freeman
October 25, 1932 - August 10, 2018

Rita A. Freeman, 85, of South Sioux City, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at Regency Square in South Sioux. Celebration of Life will be held 1:00pm Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the South Ridge Golf Course in South Sioux City. Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City is in charge of arrangements.

Rita was born October 25, 1932 in Elyria, Nebraska, the daughter of Floyd and Alma (Krahulik) Wozniak. She graduated from Ord High School and continued her education at Kearney State College. Over the years, Rita worked different retail and secretarial jobs.

Rita was an avid 4H member. She loved gardening, animals, reading, visiting and spending time with family and friends.

Rita is survived by a son, Tim (Amy) Freeman of Hubbard, NE, and a daughter, Marchell (Mick) Matney of South Sioux City, NE; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and very special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; great-granddaughter, Olivia A. Freeman; sister, Patricia M. Grove and a brother, Floyd Wozniak.

The family would like to send heartfelt thanks to staff and friends at Regency Square Nursing Home, Hospice Of Siouxland, nurse Becca, social worker Amy and volunteer, Doris.
