Clarence Orville Day, 62, of Keokuk, passed away August 21, 2018 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Clarence was born December 31, 1955 at Graham Hospital in Keokuk, IA, first son of Rodney and Donna Gorham Day of Summitville. He was united in marriage to Patricia Langwell on June 27, 1980, at St. Francis de Sale Church in Keokuk, Iowa. She survives.
Clarence enjoyed sewing, camping, spending time outside, spending time with family and fur babies Minnie, Jenny, Maggie May and Hawkeye and watching his rugrat and his god grandkids play and grow up.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Patricia Day; one daughter Cassandra "the rugrat" (Kent) Mahan both of Keokuk, IA; two brothers Steve (Janelle) Day of Keokuk, IA and Terry (Lynn) Day of Quincy, IL, step mother Doris Day, two step brothers Dale Tague and Larry (Tamara) Tague all of Gorin, MO; three sister-in-law Elizabeth (Tim) Haist of Hamilton, IL, Alma Evans of Keokuk, IA and Carol Day of Ft. Madison, IA; and a brother-in-law Ross Langwell of Galesburg, IL. He was also a god grandfather to Cassandra's god children Kelsi, Preston, Kelton, Zoey and Brynlie Hetrick of Summitville, IA, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dennis Day; stepsister Lisa Tague; mother and father-in-law Alma and Glenn Langwell; two sisters-in-law Verdna Grestal and Kathy Langwell and one brother-in-law Gerald Evans.
Celebration of his Life will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 24, 2018 at 1212 Concert Street, DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center with Rev. Robert Lathrop officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be held before the funeral service, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at 1212 Concert Street, DeJong - Greaves Celebration of Life Center.
Memorials may be made to the family.
