Born on July 17, 1991 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Michael D. Marcum and Lori A. Marcum passed away Sunday August 26, 2018. "My deepest condolence to Marcum family and people who knew him. Drew was a great friend. Very social and fully of energy, he really cared about the people around him. He encouraged me on many occasions and always spoke highly of his friends. I could tell that he looked for the positive in everyone. Last time we hung out he told me a story about one of his past relationships that really touched me. He was dating a lady who had a small child. The lady confined in him that she was struggling financially and could not afford to purchase a television at the moment and had to watch the cartoons with her little daughter on a small laptop. Drew purchased a 50'' LED and had it delivered and installed at her apartment without her knowledge creating an amazing surprised when she got home. Even though the relationship between them didn't work out he was happy that he was able to brighten up the kids childhood with a large television. This is the kind of man Drew was, a warm hearted person who really cared about the people around him. One could typically find Dew surrounded by friends, socializing, listening to music, enjoying the crowd. I remember one of his favorite songs that he asked me to replay many times when we were driving in the car with him, it was Fast Car by Jonas Blue, he loved it. We would crank the volume up and sing it outloud. I will forever think of him when I hear this song. I'll miss you buddy."

"Hello, my sincerest regards to the family of Drew. I knew him briefly in high school after sharing a creative writing course in high school and he was seated beside me. He was kind, attentive, and polite; passing in the hallway he would always greet as though years old friends. Although to me, he seemed like a quiet individual, you could tell he was outwardly friendly and everyone liked him. He will be missed by all who knew him. Sincerest sympathies, Conor Slatick & Family "

"I won't say that I was such a close personal friend to Drew, only that in the short time I knew him we were able to connect and he had that infectious charm, wit and calmness about him that impacted me, more so than me influencing him. But, what I will attest to is that Drew saved my bacon one night when we were "out on the town" together with a couple other close work friends. By stop #3, I was done for ... and decided, in a right-quick hurry!!, to get up and outta there. Fortunately Drew followed me out and saw me safely to a place removed from harm - removing my car keys from me (just in case) and, then summoning another of our other friends to stand watch until an Uber showed up that they ordered up. Two weeks ago I spoke with Drew about a new business project he had worked on and knocked out of the park! He was enthusiastic, proud, and seemed like he could take on the world. That's how I think of Drew ... and will. Drew is now a starman ... and will light the way. With respect and love ... kb"
