"Doesn't this photo of Byron depict his joy of knowing you? Bob and I were very close friends of Byron, Helen, Brad, Susan, and Wes as we were Hollingsworth Drive neighbors. Will never forget the time we spent working Pike Lions Club festivities together, the time Helen and Byron invited Steve, Karen, and I to spend the night at their house because we suffered a house fire in cold January, 1991! Sincere sympathies to Brenda, Susan, Brad, and Wes on the loss of your awesome husband and father! May he rest in peace w/Helen, Jewel, and Paul!"

"The 1955 Pike High School classmates of Byron Young will miss him but always remember our friend and colleague as we share those high school experiences among ourselves. Football and basketball games, proms, high school teachers....a special time of our lives. May God strengthen the family through this time of loss. We pray all those special memories over the years are a comfort as Byron goes home."

Mary and Bill Albrecht wrote on Sep 6, 2018:

"We treasure the memories of a friend and Hollingsworth neighbor for many years. Our children were back and forth between our homes all during their growing up years. He and Bill even rigged up a type of phone between our homes. We have grieved with them the loss of Helen, were glad with them when Brenda became part of their family. Weddings, the joy of being a grandparent, ball games, Pike chili suppers, Pike Twp. Lions' Club summer street fairs and fish frys all are woven into our memories. Byron was always quick with a laugh or a joke. Words are inadequate, but know that we were blessed to have known him and his family. Rest in peace, Byron."
