Irene Ulmer
July 4, 1922 - September 1, 2018

Irene T. Ulmer, age 96, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on September 1, 2018. She was born in Lowell, Mass. on July 4, 1922, and ran a great race in her lifetime, but old age won! She was raised in the New York-New Jersey area, graduated from H.S. in 1940 in Pearl River, N.Y. During WWII she worked at the 5th Army Command Post in Orangeburg, N.Y. In 1945 she married Raymond M. Kendall and came to Indianapolis where they made their home and raised their son Thomas R. Kendall. She worked at the VA Hospital, Community Hospital, and retired from Ford Motor Co in 1980. She was a member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church and often attended the Little White Chapel in Carmel. She attended "Bible Study Fellowship" and "Joy of Living" Bible studies for 30 years. She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond M. Kendall of 20 years and in 1975 married the love of her life, Max L. Ulmer, who also preceded her death in 2005 after 35 happy and loving years. Surviving is her son, 3 granddaughters, 8 great grandchildren, and "adopted" daughter Debbie Kendall.
A memorial service will be held at : Orchard Park Pres. Church, 1605 E. 106th St. Carmel, IN. on Saturday, September 8th at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heart or Diabetes Foundations.
