Arlene Reaves
January 30, 1938 - September 8, 2018

Arlene Reaves (Hicks) loving known as Mrs. Arlene, departed this earthly life to enter her eternal life on September 8, 2018. She was born on January 30, 1938 to the late Seolia (Cole) and Robert (Bob) Hicks.

Early in life she accepted Christ as her personal Savior by uniting with St John #1 Missionary Baptist Church, in Jackson TN, Currently as active member of Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church, she was an active member on the Deacon & Minister Broad and the Pastor Aide Group.

Mrs. Arlene married Eugene Reaves on May 17,1955, (this year celebrating 63 years of marriage) in holy matrimony and to this union 3 children were born Patricia Ann ( Darrell Watson) Indpls, IN, Calvin Reaves (Humboldt TN), and their youngest son Alexander Reaves who preceded her in death on December 3, 2007.

Mrs. Arlene retired from Methodist Hospital in 1996 after 24 years of employment. After retiring Mrs. Arlene started her passion for cooking known for her Turkey & Dressing, Gravy, Chicken & Dumpling, fried pies, Carmel & lemon cakes , rolls & banana pudding , just to name a few.

Mrs. Arlene leaves to cherish her memory out of a family of 13 brothers & sister her last surviving brother Sylvester Hicks (Shirley) Jackson Tn., four grandchildren Darrell Watson Jr., Calvin Eugene Bartlett (Reaves) , Danielle Elinora Watson , William Douglas Reaves, and 4 great grandchildren Darrell Jaden Watson, Darrell Christopher Watson, Chanyia Janell Walker (Reaves) , & her latest joy Victor La'Vant Cooper whom even in her later years she insisted on keeping from time to time. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Arlene will truly be missed.
