Magdalene "Maggi" A. Brace
August 28, 1937 - September 12, 2018

Magdalene "Maggi" Alice Brace, 81, of Hampton, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. She was born on August 28, 1937, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to Charles and Eva (VanVleet) Lewis.

Maggi graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1955. She was united in marriage to William E. Brace on October 1, 1955, in Cedar Falls. Maggi worked in cemetery sales, selling burial plots with her husband, William. She also worked at The Christian Book Store and Korner Bakery in Hampton. Maggi was a member of the Church of the Living Word in Hampton. She enjoyed keeping yearly journals and decorating her home for every holiday and special occasion. Maggi participated in and attended several churches and their activities over the years. She had a deep relationship and faith with our Lord. Maggi was great in the kitchen, making delicious meals and desserts. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Maggi also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and solving family illnesses from her medical book.

Maggi is survived by her daughter Lori (Wayne) Riggins of Hampton, daughter Mary (Bill) Fedukovich of Oak Hill, West Virginia, son William J. (Jinky) Brace of Tacoma, Washington, son Tony (Michelle) Brace of Allison, daughter Catherine Hall of Hampton, daughter Cynthia "Rose" Brace of Hampton, twenty-four grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Eva, sisters Mary and Ellen, brothers Jay and Lou, daughter Sheryl, husband William E. and granddaughter Wendy.

"My thoughts and prayers are with Maggie's family! She was a lovely lady and I loved her dearly! I have many wonderful memories of time spent with Maggie and kids!! I've been a family friend for over 40 years and Lori's been my bestie for all of those!! I'm glad She is no loner suffering!! Lori, you know I'm here if you need anything, so don't hesitate if you need me!! Because of faith, and Maggie's was very strong, there's that knowing that we will be reunited one day in God's kingdom!"
