Tributes

Elaine Lawson wrote on Dec 23, 2018:

"Denny, along with his great buddy Al Squires, led many a lively nature walk in the Sarasota area (and many elsewhere, I am sure.) My husband Roger and I are so very thankful that we got to spend those hours with Denny and Al and all the other walkers who took joy in the surroundings and in each other's company. Denny's poems and short pieces, in two collections called "Branches" and "Falling Leaves," celebrate nature and Florida living with a joyous and sometimes slightly ironic humor. He loved cats and wrote wonderfully about them, too, but he wasn't shy about sharing his perspective on the gentrification in the Florida real estate developers' often greedy despoiling of the natural world. Denny was a most special friend to many. "
