Rio Hondo - Elena Venegas, 63 of Rio Hondo, TX entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. She is preceded in death by her mother Petra Flores. Her survivors include her daughter Nancy Venegas (Francisco Cruz); grandsons Matthew and Brandon Cruz; a nephew in which she loved like a son Joshua Martinez, Jr.; her father Salvador Venegas; a sister Fidela Martinez along with 5 other siblings; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held today, Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home from 2:00 pm-9:00 pm with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm. Chapel services will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Ashland Memorial Park.
