Coleen M. Erstad
February 8, 1943 - October 9, 2018

MADISON-Coleen M. Erstad, age 75, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at Stoughton Hospital. She was born on Feb. 8, 1943, in Madison, the daughter of James and Mary (Lynch) McCann. Coleen married Randolph Erstad on July 1, 1961. Coleen was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a member of Rebekah's Lodge. She was an avid Packer's fan and enjoyed watching western tv shows, especially those starring, John Wayne. Coleen loved going to Dairyland Restaurant after church with her grandchildren, treasured family gatherings, enjoyed time spent with children, and simply found pleasure in the company of others. She was the most kind, loving and forgiving person and was full to the brim of love and compassion for anyone around her who needed it. Coleen adored her dog, Blue and the companionship they shared. Coleen is survived by her husband, Randolph; four daughters, Carol M. Baron, Christine Davis, Colette (Karen) Penland, and Cathleen Williamson; two sons, Scott (Amy) Erstad and Steven Erstad; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia (Mike) Hilgers and Johni Stout; sister-in-law, Margaret McCann; special cousin, Geralyn (Roger) Slack; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jerry McCann and James McCann; daughter, Beverly Erstad; son-in-law, Boyd Davis; brother-in-law, Jack Stout; uncles, Jerry (Alyce) Lynch and Richard Lynch; and cousin, Joe Lynch. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018.
