Janice Temple, 70, of Exline, Iowa passed away at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa on September 30, 2010.
Janice was born the daughter of Oscar and Edith (Cline) Wages on November 8, 1939 in Centerville, Iowa. She attended Centerville Schools. Janice was united in marriage to Paul Temple on Oct 13, 1957 at the Church of God in Centerville, Iowa. They would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this year.
Janice enjoyed figure painting. She was very active with the Exline 1st Responders and helped them with any fundraising they would need. Janice's pride and joy were her grandchildren. Spending time with her grandchildren and seeing their accomplishments brought Janice happiness.
Janice is survived by her husband, Paul; son, Carl (Toni) Temple of Davenport, Sisters Roberta Greiner of Davenport, Iowa and Alfreada (Jim) Dover of Unionville, Missouri and brother Luther (Rosie) Wages of East Moline, Illinois; 4 grandchildren Wendy, Robert, Jacqueline and Elizabeth and 9 great grandchildren. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Oscar Jr., Bobby Wages, Donnie Wages, sister Beverly Cornett, and grandson Curtis Temple.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, October 4, 2010 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Lange Funeral Home with family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left at or mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S 18th St, Centerville, Iowa 52544. Condolences may be left online at www.langefh.com.
