Phyllis Child, 77 of Englewood, Florida. Entered the eternal rest on Oct. 27 2018.
Phyllis was born July 3, 1941, in Newark New Jersey. She lived in Pine Brook New Jersey until 1983 then relocated to Tarpon Springs Florida, and then settled to Englewood Florida.
Phyllis was a stay-at-home mom until 1971 then took a part-time job as a keypunch operator. Phyllis was so happy to become a great grandmother, aka "Nanny". She was delighted in being able to help care for her great-grandson for almost 2 years.
Phyllis loved watching her New York Giants football games. She was loved by everyone who knew her and the beautiful smile she always had on her face.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Edward (Ted) Child, her daughter Dawn, granddaughter Brittany Child and her Great-Grandson Aliyas; many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents Filomena and John Onorato and her son John Child and her four sisters, Sophia Cerrato, Josephine Tronio, Catherine Datre and Joan Vasile.
A gathering from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow on November 17th at Lemon Bay Funeral Home at 2 Buchans Landing Englewood Florida 34223.
