Dolores Joan Krause
March 23, 1936 - January 8, 2019

Dolores Joan Krause, of San Angelo, passed away at her home on January 8, 2019 at the age of 82. Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 11th at The Heights Church with Dr. Mark Shaw officiating. Dolores was born on March 23, 1936 in Grandfield, OK, to parents Orval and Mabel (Davenport) Hardesty. She attended elementary school in Lawton, OK and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1954. She attended New Mexico State University, graduating in 1958 with a bachelor of science degree. She was active in several campus organizations including serving as treasurer and president of Chi Omega sorority during her college years. Dolores taught high school chemistry, general math and earth science from 1958-1962, then took several years off when her children were small. After teaching 1 year in Springer, NM, she moved to San Angelo in 1972 and started working at Angelo State University in 1973 as secretary in the Air Force ROTC Department, later moving to the vice president's office where she was administrative assistant to the vice president until she retired. Dolores was an enthusiastic tennis player, but her real joy was playing duplicate bridge with her many friends. Dolores is survived by her brothers, Gary Hardesty of Alamogordo, NM and Mike Hardesty of Carlsbad, NM; daughter Dacia Corder and husband Kent of San Angelo; a son, Douglas Krause and wife Ann of Murphy, TX; and 5 grandchildren, Tyler Corder of Houston Texas, Tara Corder and fiance Christian Pizzino, Trey Corder of San Angelo, Mitchell Krause and Michael Krause of Murphy, Texas. She will be missed by her family and friends, but will rejoice when we meet again with our heavenly father. She was preceded in death by her parents Orval and Mabel Hardesty and husband, Warren Krause.
