James S. Custard, age 79, of Council Bluffs, passed away January 23, 2019 at his home. Jim was born May 2, 1939 in Omaha. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Ranier from 1958-1962. Jim worked in the Auto Body Industry as a body and fender man for most of his working career. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy L. Custard in 2014. Jim is survived by his children, Mike (Melanie) Mather, Becky Glaspie, Richard (Terri) Mather, Daniel (Terri) Mather, Sherry (Pete) Jordan, Alex Neil, Ricky (Jacqueline) Smith, Ted Faatz; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and brother, Richard Custard.
