Renee A. Boucher, 59, of Claverack, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long fought battle with cancer.
Born on June 23, 1959, in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of Anita (Leone) Walker and her husband Ralph, of Syracuse, NY and the late John H. VanWagner.
For many years, she worked as a Support Manager at Walmart in Catskill, NY. She also worked at Tractor Supply in Hudson, NY, was a nurse's aide at Northern Dutchess Hospital, a home health aide, and horse trainer.
Renee had a love for all animals, especially horses and was an active member of the American Quarter Horse Association. She also was a member of the United States Team Penning Association -Region 8. She was able to pursue her passion of horses for many years by competing around the country. She loved taking rides on her Harley. Renee loved to shop, if she found a sale, she was sure to purchase and share her treasures with her friends and family.
Renee married Francois "Frank" Boucher, Sr. on September 5, 2009 in Claverack, NY. "Frank" predeceased her on February 28, 2016.
In addition her mother & step father, Renee is survived by her children: Nicole (Peter) Michael of Rhinebeck, NY, and David (Victoria) Bayliss of Red Hook, NY; her grandchildren, Jade, Kori, & Cody Michael, Dylan Bayliss , and Austin Rowland; her step-children, Francois (Heather) Boucher, Jr. of Ghent, NY, Stephen (Melissa) Boucher of Clermont, NY, Catherine (Rich) Prentice of Pine Plains, NY, Barbara (Jeff) Galm of Pine Plains, NY, and Brendan Boucher of Amsterdam, NY; along with step grandchildren, extended family and countless friends.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 4 to 7 pm to Celebrate Renee's life.
