Benji Shae Davis

Benji Shae Davis, age 21, of Council Bluffs, was called home to heaven on February 14, 2019. Benji was born on January 29th, 1998 to LeAnn Schneider and James Davis in Council Bluffs. After graduating from Lewis Central High School in 2016, he went on to study music at University of Northern Iowa and transferred to Iowa Western to study digital audio programming. While in college, Benji continued to pursue his lifelong love of music, singing in the Chamber and Men's Choirs. Benji wrote music and loved playing his ukulele. Benji also knew how to play guitar, clarinet and bass clarinet. His voice has been noted by many as "as beautiful as an angel". Benji enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and pets. His heart was full of compassion and love for others and he often advocated for people and causes such as transgender awareness and mental health support. Benji's memory will forever be cherished by his parents, James Davis (Karley), LeAnn Schneider (Brian); sisters, Alex Huebner (Nathan), Madison Davis, Kaitlynne Henriksen, Jade Reddick; brothers, Jessen and Karsen Davis; boyfriend, Brent Winger; grandparents, Joseph Davis, Lynette Carpenter (Vernon), Geneva Scott, Joyce and Billy Misner, Ron Henriksen, Buzz and Connie Schneider, as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, other extended family and many beloved friends. Benji will be laid to rest at Noble Center Cemetery.
