Shirley Bickford Govang age 58 of Concord California and formerly of Maquoketa Iowa died Thursday July 27 2000 at her home in Concord California.                         



Private Family Graveside Services and Burial will be held at a later date from the Mount Hope Cemetery in Maquoketa. There is no visitation. Carson and Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa is in charge of local arrangements.                                                       

Shirley Bickford Govang was born on February 27 1942 in Maquoketa Iowa to Jake Bickford and Anna Noonan Bickford. She married Ron Govang. Mrs. Govang was educated in the Maquoketa Schools and was a 1961 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School. She had worked as a dental technician in Davenport Iowa and then in 1967 moved to California where she continued to practice as a dental technician.          



She is survived by: Her Husband- Ron Govang of Concord California; 1 Step-Son- Michael(Julie Ann) Govang of Washington(state); 1 Sister- Mrs. Bill(Judy) Woods of Maquoketa Iowa; 2 Brothers- James Jim(Donna) Bickford of N. Lauderdale Florida and Edward Bickford of Moline Illinois; and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
