On Friday, March 8, 2019, Douglas Edward Paulsen loving husband, father and grandfather lost his battle with cancer. Doug was born on July 26th, 1961 to Merle and Glennys Paulsen. Doug was a computer programmer for Omaha Public Schools and a line cook at many restaurants, including Anthony's Steakhouse and Uncle Bucks'. Doug married Tamra Reel and had four daughters, Jennifer, Rebecca, Michelle and Sarah. After they divorced Doug married Kathleen Wood and had two daughters, Kathryn and Harlee. Doug was a devoted father and grandfather that loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Doug loved baseball from watching his grandsons play to coaching his daughter's softball teams. He loved watching Green Bay Packers football, Cincinnati Reds baseball and Los Angeles Lakers basketball. Doug is preceded in death by his mother, Glennys. He is survived by wife, Kathleen; daughters, Jennifer and her husband Joe Brunow, Rebecca Paulsen, Michelle Paulsen, Sarah Paulsen, Kathryn Paulsen and Harlee Paulsen; father, Merle Paulsen; sisters, Lorie Schmitz and Lisa Pickard; grandchildren, Ethen Bevington, Jaysen Bevington and Josephine Brunow and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
