Monticello -- Edward P. Harris, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at his home. He was born on February 20, 1957 in Madison, the son of Philip and Josephine (Lehman) Harris. Ed graduated from Madison West High School in 1975. He attended some classes at UW Stevens Point. Ed had several jobs working as custodian, shipping and mailing clerk, newspaper delivery and other delivery work. In the last few years he helped is mother by maintaining her home and shopping. He enjoyed walking his dog, listening to music, reading scriptures and watching Wisconsin sports on TV. Ed liked the outdoors and as a young adult he fished and hunted grouse. Ed is survived by his mother, Josephine; and sisters, Elizabeth Winter and Jean Clark. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip V. Harris and a sister, Joanne. A funeral service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Patrick Norris O.P. officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
