LOISELLE, DEBORAH A. "Debbie"
Deborah A. (Debbie) Loiselle, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 1, 2009, with Stuart Seffern, her lifelong partner in a tragic airplane accident. She was born on March 12, 1956, to Harold and Betty (Bambrough) Loiselle. She grew up in Madison and graduated from West High School. She attended Madison Area Technical College and earned a degree in Commercial Art. Debbie met Stuart Seffern while he was attending college and the couple had been together for over 30 years. They enjoyed traveling, hosting annual pool parties, and spending time with family and friends. Both were loyal Badger fans rarely missing a home football game and also traveled to several Bowl Games. They were also active in the Burr Oaks Neighborhood Association in hopes of improving their Southside neighborhood. Debbie spent much of her career in state government in the Assembly Sergeant at Arms office at the State Capitol. Debbie was an avid bicyclist who biked to work through rain, sleet, and snow. She was a talented artist and the creator of "Martin" the bird. In recent years Debbie's passion was fitness. She loved to work out at the gym and was a committed health nut. She was well-known for her yearly appearances as the Easter Bunny. Debbie will be missed by her sister, Barbara (Richard) Johnson of Spring Green; special nieces, Sandra (James) Rohweder of Reedsburg, Marcie (Aaron) Bindl of Columbus, and Rhonda (Ricky) Fradette of Spring Green; five great nieces , Natalie, Allison and Julia Rohweder, Hannah and Paige Bindl and two great nephews , Dylan and Drew Fradette, all referred to fondly as "the greats;" several cousins, and many friends. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother and best friend, Betty Loiselle in May 2007; her father Harold Loiselle in November 1967; her maternal and fraternal grandparents; as well as an aunt and uncles. Debbie will be remembered for her optimism, sense of humor, artistic talent, love of family and friends, free spirit, and passion for life. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A celebration of Deb's life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10 at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME where friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service. Reverend Douglas Larson-Sell will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials in Debbie's name.
"When you're lonely, I wish you love. When you're down, I wish you joy. When you're troubled, I wish you peace. When things are complicated, I wish you simple beauty. When things are chaotic, I wish you inner silence. When things look empty, I wish you hope." Author unknown

"Debbie and I only met face to face a couple of times during our lives. We kept in touch through email and snail mail, Facebook, and MySpace. She and I worked on our genealogy. This is a tragedy. She always had a good word for me when I was blue and a word of encouragement when I lost hope. She will be sorely missed."

"Debbie was an amazing woman. She was our beloved aunt/great aunt and friend. We shared many great times and treasured memories over the years. Debbie was so strong, healthy, and vibrant that we assumed we would have the opportunity to share memories with her for many years to come. We have experienced a great loss. We know that Debbie is reunited with Grandma Betty and that both of them are watching over all of us. We love you and miss you, Debbie. Until we meet again..."

"You were an incredible aunt/great aunt and friend. We will cherish all of the memories we had with you, but wish there could have been so many more. You will be missed so very much by so many people, but we know you are taking care of Grandma Betty now. Rest in peace, Debbie. We love you!!"
