Donna Jean Taylor

DANE-Donna Jean Taylor, age 80, of Dane, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 11, 1939, in Madison, the daughter of the late Melvin and Violet (Farr) Marks. On May 7, 1955, Donna married Tom Taylor at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dane. He preceded her in death in 2011. Donna and Tom were life-long farmers in the Dane area. She was an active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and was involved with many of the church's organizations and she also belonged to the Red Hatters Society. Donna had a variety of interests including gardening, sewing, crafts, and baking and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Donna is survived by her children, Connie Winter (friend, Darrell), Sharon Schroeder (friend, Neil), Kevin (Barb), Denise (Don) Dohm, Diane (David) Johnson, Brian (Cindy), Steve (friend, Holly), Kathy (Kevin) Haarklau, Dennis (friend, Karen), Sandra (Todd) Phipps, Roger (Kristina), Bonnie (Russ) Niesen, Tom Jr. (Tricia), Mary (Dean) Miller, Donna (Brian) Meister, Bill (finance, Angelica), and Darlene (Jeff) Selinske; 44 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene (Jim) Crawford; brother, Stanley (Mary) Marks; sister-in-law, Mary Marks; and other relatives and many friends. In addition to her husband Tom, she was preceded in death by her sons, Jeff and Richard Taylor; grandchildren, Justin Haarklau and Angela Johnson; her great-grandson, Noah Ruppell; and her brother, Rodney Marks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. MICHAEL'S, 109 South Military Rd, Dane, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 with the Rev. Scott Jablonski presiding. Burial will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Dane. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE,157 S. Main St., Lodi from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Jun 14, 2019, and also at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
