Shirley Coleen (Schnoor) Pease was born at home on the family farm south of Farragut, IA on March 18, 1936 to Martin Dale and Marjorie Maxine (Raymond) Schnoor. Shirley was an only child and took to her Dad's side at an early age. She loved being with her Dad and learning everything there was to know about farming. They enjoyed fishing and taking family trips to Nevis, MN. She attended school in Farragut, where she met some lifelong friends and graduated in 1954.

Shirley married George Robert Pease on December 16, 1963 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. They had a very successful farming operation. Shirley worked side by side with Bob for many years and managed their farming operation. Winters were spent in Mesa, Arizona, where they met many other Fountain of the Sun residents and maintained many of those friendships for several years.

Sports played an important part of her life, either participating or as a spectator. In high school, she played basketball, softball, and participated in track. As a post guard, Shirley was the tallest on the team. She was on the varsity squad and started all four years, played in the state tournament for three years, and was an all state player. Later in life, she taught herself to play golf. Golf became her passion. She was a member of the Shenandoah Country Club Ladies Golf Association for many years as well as Fountain of the Sun Ladies Golf Association in Mesa, Arizona. Shirley thoroughly enjoyed the game and won many tournaments, was club champion at both, and had a few holes in one.

Later, she was able to do some traveling. She went with a group on a train trip across Canada as well as a fall bus tour of the northeastern United States. She enjoyed traveling with Dan and Marilyn to watch grandson, Craig, play college football. A couple of Branson trips were also made. Shirley attended several Nebraska volleyball games, including the national championship game in 2006. She loved a trip to Mackinac Island, Michigan with a small group of friends.

Shirley is survived by daughters: Marilyn (Supernaw) Gable and husband Dan, of LaVista, NE, Nancy York and husband Bill of Essex, IA, and Marti Gigstad and husband Bobb of Garnett, KS; sons: Mark Supernaw and wife Rita of Farragut, IA, and Robb Pease and wife Barb of Castle Rock, CO. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob Pease, and grandson Josh Meyer.

"I hate to tell you but one of my favorite laugh out loud memories is with Shirley. When we cleaned out my Grandpa Leo Raymond?s house for auction, i came back from Shen on a coffee run to discover Shirley passing an electrical ?massager? back and forth with my Aunt Patty to test it out on each others faces. Let?s just say that what Shirley and Patty said about that thing make me die laughing to this day! I almost wet my pants on tje stairs listening to those crazy fun ladies. What a fun, special lady Shirley was. She showed me how fun it is to be a ?Raymond? ! Here?s to ?Old Sparky?!! "
