Marlene K. Pendroy, age 79 of Monroe, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Skiff Medical Center - Monarch Wing in Newton. Celebration of life services will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Coburn Funeral Home of Monroe at 2:00 p.m. with burial following at Silent City Cemetery of Monroe. The daughter of Harold and Emma (Birkenholz) Pendroy, Marlene was born on October 12, 1931 in Monroe. While growing up, she attended Union Valley Country School. Marlene loved time spent with family and friends. Those left to honor her memory are her brother, Marvin Pendroy and his wife LaVonne of Monroe and four nephews. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Harold Pendroy Jr., and one niece, Phyllis Pendroy.
