Donald H. Tesker

Avid John Deere collector and founder of Tesker Manufacturing Corporation, Donald H. Tesker, age 72 years of the Town of Saukville, passed away peacefully at his residence in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 15, 2007 surrounded by his loving family.
Don was born on the family homestead in the Town of Saukville on August 12, 1934, son of Donovan Tesker and Marcella Fahney Tesker. On July 14, 1956 he married his High School sweetheart, Marlene Kohn at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.
Throughout his life, Don was a farmer first and foremost. In 1954, he started working at Ted Grob Co. in Grafton. In the mid 1960's he became a partner in the company, and it became Grob and Tesker Corp. In 1971, Donald and Marlene started Tesker Manufacturing Corporation in Grafton and relocated to Saukville in 1974. Mr. Tesker was active in the business until just recently.
Another enjoyment in life that Don had was being instrumental in starting many antique tractor clubs throughout the state of Wisconsin. The one he was most active in was the Wisconsin Antique Power Reunion. Donald and Marlene hosted the show on their property for over 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Marlene of the Town of Saukville, 4 children; Richard (Pamela) Tesker of Saukville, Diane Tesker of Saukville, Kathleen (Dale) Meyer of Fredonia, Barbara (David) Jentges of Lake Church. He is further survived by 9 grandchildren; Eric and Kyle Tesker, Michael (Mindy) Tesker, Douglas, Jennifer and Crystal Meyer, and Dylan, Christopher and Alexander Jentges, his mother Marcella Tesker of Saukville, 1 sister Marlene Boegel of West Bend, 2 brothers Dean (Beverly) Tesker of Saukville and Henry (Sharon) Tesker of West Bend, 1 sister-in-law Therese Kohn of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Donovan, his in-laws Clarence and Erma Kohn, and his brother-in-law Roger Kohn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 18th at 7 PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg, where Donald had been a member. The Mass will be celebrated by Father Guy Gurath and Father James Ernster. Donald will be laid to rest in St. Finbar's Cemetery in the Town of Saukville. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday the 18th from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the T-Baum Foundation, which assists adult cancer patients and their families, c/o Wisconsin State Bank, 171 Main St. Belgium, WI 53004, or the Sheboygan Cancer and Blood Specialists where Don received his cancer treatments, 1621 N Taylor, Drive Suite 100, Sheboygan, WI 53081.
The Tesker family wishes to thank the wonderful caring staff at the Sheboygan Cancer and Blood Clinic with special thanks for the care he received from Dr. Bettag and Dr. Gauthier, and Father Guy Gurath and Father Jim Ernster for their spiritual support.
