Lois V. Swatek

Mrs. Lois Swatek, of Grand Ave. in Port Washington, recently of Cedar Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cedarburg, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, October 27, 2006. She was 81 years old. Lois was born September 27, 1925 in Waubeka, daughter of William and Thuska Kraetsch Gruenewald. On June 21, 1947 she married Gerald Swatek at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. Lois often spent time helping her husband with the family business, Swatek Oil, in Port Washington. He preceded her in death in 1999. Lois was a volunteer at St. Alphonsus Hospital for many years, as well as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 82 and the Port Washington Yacht Club. She enjoyed boating, playing cards with friends and taking great care of her family. Mrs. Swatek is survived by 2 sons, David (Mara) of Vero Beach, FL and Jeffrey (Jeniese) of Olathe, KS, one daughter, Terry (James Cira) Swatek of Vero Beach, FL, 2 grandchildren, Matthew (Cindy) Swatek of Nixa, MO and Allison Swatek of Olathe, KS, and 3 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by 3 sisters: Roma Horn of Scottsdale, AZ, Betty Betz of Port Washington and Janet Hensel of Germantown, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by husband Gerald and 2 sisters; Dorothy Cassidy and Ruth Beck. A memorial service is being planned for December 9th, 2006.
