David W. Maring, 68, of Clinton passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics - Iowa City.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
David William Maring was born August 9, 1951. He was the son of Leonard and Maxine (Leslee) Maring. He was a 1969 graduate of Clinton High School and attended Mt. St. Clare of one year. He worked in auto body repair and painting for 35 years. He married Bonnie Betts; she preceded him in death in July 2008.
Dave was a life member of the NRA and Law Enforcement Alliance of America. He enjoyed wood working, photography and gardening. He had an eye of an artist and enjoyed painting. Mostly he loved time spent with his friends and family.
He is survived by many special friends and family.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie and his parents.
