Ronald K. Kingsolver
August 27, 1946 - October 5, 2019

Ron passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Griswold Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Services will be held on Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

On August 27, 1946 a son, Ronald Kent was born to Kenneth and Virginia (Ladds) Kingsolver in Hamburg, Iowa. Ron departed this life on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Griswold Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

His early years were spent in Fremont County where he attended school. He graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1965. Ron later enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served his country from 1966-1969. On December 13, 1973 he was united in marriage to Mildred Hamm in Nebraska City. The couple later made their home in Shenandoah.

Ron was engaged in farming for a short time before joining the Air Force. Upon returning home from the service he worked at Sorensen's at the station manager. He later managed Farm Tire as well as working in their sales department. He also was employed for Dekalb, Orkin and Rug Doctor. He later drove a school bus in Union County for 7 years. He finally retired in 2012. He and Mildred were members of the Jehovah's Witnesses where they were baptized in June of 1974. Some of his interests included racing and tractor pulls.

Those left to cherish his memory include he wife Mildred of the home; daughter Darlene Hamilton of Shenandoah, sons Gordon Hamilton of Missouri, Boyd Hamilton (Angie) of Farley, IA and Jubel Hamilton of Shenandoah; daughter Jana Fort (Tony) of Red Oak; 1 grandchild and 1 great-great grandchild; brothers Lee Kingsolver of Red Oak, Stan Howrey of Malvern and Steve Howrey of Pacific Junction; sister Glenda Bowser of Pacific Junction; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
