Jess F. Brown was born December 20, 1943 in Davenport, Iowa and died August 24, 2019 in Davenport, Iowa. The proud Viet Nam Veteran was awarded special medals including, The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, two Overseas Bars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Sharpshooter Marksman Army Commendation Medal.
Jess worked as a chef at local restaurants. Survivors include his daughters, Sarah and Jessica and cousins. Graveside services will be Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10:30 at Rock Island Arsenal Cemetery with full military honors accorded.
