LaVonne Mae Hansen
February 9, 1927 - October 10, 2019

LaVonne Mae Hansen, 92 of Mason City, died Thursday evening, October 10, 2019 at Heritage Care Center where she has lived for nine years.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Fullerton Funeral Home 123 2nd ST. SE, Mason City. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Johnson of First Covenant Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home and interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

LaVonne was born on February 9, 1927 in Rockwell, Iowa the daughter of Carl W. and Fleta M. "Woodley" Roggemann. She graduated from school and then moved to Mason City where she was a lifelong resident.
She was united in marriage to Jack Louis Hansen on November 14, 1953 and celebrated their 25th anniversary just prior to his death. She worked for many years in the Sears Cafeteria. She was often seen with her friends at Taco-Tico where as soon as she came in they would make coffee for her and her friends. She was a very giving person and worked with the Covenant Ladies at her church, volunteered in helping with Bingo at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of the IOOF home and served as a flagbearer with the veteran groups.

Surviving her are her Daughters Debra Mulder, Riceville, Iowa, Merry Hayes of Irving Texas, Grandchildren Adam and Casie Mulder, Beverly Verhoef, Matthew, Nicole and Dwight Pierce. Nine Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild. Her parents, husband on December 31, 1978, Infant sister Shirley Roggemann, and Grandson Mike Verhoef preceded her in death.
