"I was simply chilled to the bone to find out of Bruce's passing. I still can't believe it's true. I enjoyed the weekend banter with both Bruce and Judy, they always had 'something' to say! Who says people don't die of a broken heart? I only hope to go in such a manner one day. The blessing is that they are back together once again, in a far better place than we are. They are sitting on "their own" Rainbow Bridge. My thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family."

"Curt & Kim We have never met, but please let us express our deep condolences to you & your family. Wow I can't imagine losing both your parents in such short order. I guess some people really do die of a broken heart. We know your parents from the dog show world. Your parents were both very kind. I still remember our 1st weekend out after getting our 5th wheel for showing the dogs, we were parked next to your parents rig. We had already gone to bed and all was quite and at about 12:30 we got a knock on the door and it was your Dad letting us know a strom was coming in quickly and we had better get our canope down. Dan and I both got dressed and were struggeling with what the RV place told us how to roll it up, by know it was raining and your Dad came back over and helped us newbies at camping roll up our manual canopie in the pouring rain. Neitherthing did he need to do, but was just looking out for us. Plus many times after that it always seemed your aprents I could go to if I forgot anything in the camper from a can opener to duct tape, they always were willing to lend what they had. It won't be the same without them. Please accept our deep condolences. I wish we could make it omorrow, but I have a dog here with cancer that is on his way out and I can't make the trip. "I have lost track of the Dog Shows that we attended with Bruce and Judy. The Dog Show circut is not always an easy life. Hard work and long days away from home and family, month after month, and year after year for some of us. Bruce, you and Judy became part of our "Dog Show Family" all those years ago, and you both were such good friends. Always helpful and encourging. You both are very special people and will not be forgotten. Judy, I miss your hugs and Bruce your handshake. God Bless you both and your family."

Dawn and Ken Ironside wrote on Nov 5, 2008:

"Dear Curt and Kim and family. My husband and I met your parents about 5 years ago at a dog show in Kenora. It was my first show ever, and needless to say, I was a novice. Judy took me under her wing..and clipped up my longhair dachshie in a flash..giving pointers...and encouragement all the way. Bruce was right in there too..smiles and confidence building and just plain kindness. Each dog show I attended with them, I felt championed by 'the pros'..and went into that ring feeling like we belonged. We invited them to bring their motorhome to our home and 'plug in'...two years ago September on your Mom's birthday. It was fun having them join us for a birthday dinner inside...and more laughter. They were absolutely the best, and we will remember them, and treasure the times we had together forever. Your loss is felt by hundreds of people who new them both. Kindness and love go on forever. Sincerely Dawn and Ken Ironside - Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada."

"We were very shocked and saddened to get the email this evening that Bruce had passed. We last talked to him just after we had returned from judging in Shanghai, China just a few days after his birthday to wish him a belated birthday. It was also a few days before Judy's. He was having difficulty with that period of time. We talked about Judy and how he and she always appreciated the flower's that arrived to "mom" from her two boys in Springfield. That made him smile. We are sure that he is now at peace and with his first and only love. It's hard to say good-bye again."

I last saw your dad at a show this summer and I thought he looked great, but of course, Judy was missing. I learned a lot from Bruce and from Judy. My ex-husband and I enjoyed visiting with them at shows, talking about dogs and talking about RVs. It wasn't a dog show without a visit with Bruce and Judy.
