Fernandez Rivers Jr., 32, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at his home in East Beloit, Illinois. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with Funeral services taking place at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 22, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive). Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Fernandez Rivers Jr. was born on November 26, 1986 in Brownsville, Tennessee to Fernandez Sr. and Marilyn (Metcalf) Rivers. Fernandez Rivers Jr. was a graduate of Clinton High school. Fernandez was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed playing sports. He loved to put a smile on everyone's face. Above all, he loved his family very much, especially his children.
Fernandez is survived by his children - Fernandez III, Daijah, Layla; Holly, his children's mother, his parents Marilyn and Fernandez Rivers Sr. of Clinton, IA; sister - Shanna Rivers of Clinton, IA; his maternal grandparents - Alton and Ernestine Metcalf of Rock Island, IL and his paternal grandmother - Willie Mae Perry of Summerville, TN; niece - J'Niah of Clinton and nephew Ja'Bari of Clinton; with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceding Fernandez in death is his paternal grandfather - Anderson Watkins Jr.
