Dwaine G. Mohr
November 8, 1935 - October 19, 2019

Dwaine G. Mohr, 83 of Unionville, Missouri, formerly of Goose Lake, Iowa passed away peacefully at Maggie's House Assisted Living in DeWitt, Iowa on October 19, 2019. In following Dwaine's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial Service will be held at Snell-Zornig Funeral home at 302 3rd Avenue South in Clinton, Iowa on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 12:30 pm. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be in the Reeceville Cemetery at a later date.

Dwaine was born on November 8, 1935 the son of Gilbert and Lanora (Peters) Mohr in Green Island, Iowa. He married Shirley Ann Mullane on December 29, 1956 in Hanover, Illinois; she passed away on November 19, 2017. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958. Dwaine and Shirley attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa and actively participated with planned events of the "The Lake Group."

Dwaine and Shirley operated the Phillips 66 Gas Station in Goode Lake for many years. Dwaine also drove bus for the Northeast Community School District in Goose Lake. After selling the station Dwaine delivered home heating fuel, diesel fuel and gas to customers in Iowa and Illinois for Service Oil Company in Camanche. After retirement Dwaine and Shirley moved to Lake Thunderhead in Unionville, Missouri. Dwaine and Shirley enjoyed life to the fullest while living at the Lake. They made many friends and were busy all the time. Most nights you could find them at the Marina hanging out with friends until it got dark.

He is survived by his daughter Cindy (Rod) Schmidt of DeWitt and son Kenny (Shelly) Mohr of Clinton; four grandchildren: Mike (Erica) Schmidt of Goose Lake, Michelle (Joel) Yutesler of DeWitt, Kelly Hosette of Charlotte, and Nick Mohr of Ankeny, Iowa; six great grandchildren: Kale, Kyson and Kinzlie Schmidt, Haley and Zach Yutesler, and Addy Hosette; and sister in law Margaret Mohr.

Preceding Dwaine in death was his wife Shirley, his parents, brother Darrell and grandson-in-law Eric Hosette.
