"Our whole family will always remember Howard with great affection and appreciation. We have all lost, temporarily, a man with tremendous qualities including service, generosity, kindness, humility, sensitivity, humor, courtesy, self-sacrifice, faith, hope and love. Families, churches and communities need more, not fewer, men like Howard Schulze. I'll never forget preparing for my first funeral at Friedens. Howard said we needed to bring the "beer" up from downstairs. I thought, wow, this really is a very German church! Of course, he knew I would be confused - and of course he meant we needed to bring up the "bier" (casket carrier) - but we enjoyed a laugh and I've pulled the same "prank" on unsuspecting others 100 times since! There are many, many more stories and memories. Thanks, Howard, for the memories! With great love, Mark, Sue, Katie & Tyler Voll"
