Mary Ann Maechtle
Mrs. Mary Maechtle, of Hwy KK in the Town of Port Washington, passed away suddenly after collapsing at her home on Saturday morning, September 25, 2010.  She was 39 years old.  Mary Ann was born in Port Washington on December 24, 1970, daughter of Bernard G. and Chelene Ebert Golownia.  She was united in marriage with Robert Meachtle on August 10, 1991 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Saukville.  Mary graduated from Concordia University with a degree in Nursing in 1993, and has worked as a labor and delivery nurse at the Columbia Birthing Center, Aurora Advanced Medical and Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee.  She is a former Job’s Daughter of Bethel 60, Port Washington, a former member of Ozaukee 4H and a member of Ozaukee County Eastern Star.  She enjoyed her weekly bookclub and was an enthusiastic Wrestling Mom for her son, Jacob.  Mostly, however, Mary’s passion was her job.  She loved helping to bring new lives into this world!  Mary is survived by her husband, Bob, and their son Jacob, both of the Town of Port Washington, her parents Bernard G.and Chelene Golownia, of theTown of Saukville, her grandfather Bernard J. Golownia of Milwaukee, 1 sister, Celeste Niles of the Town of Saukville, and 3 brothers: Bernard H. (Ok Sun) Golownia of Milwaukee, Joseph (Denise) Golownia of Cedarburg and Daniel (Amy) Golownia of Belgium.  She is further survived by her mother-in-law Judy Maechtle of Fredonia, sisters- and brothers-in-law: Connie (Dennis) Schmitz of Random Lake, Debbie Perko of Glenbulah, Heidi Ernisse of Sheboygan, Vickie (Jon) Meins of Port Washington and John (Jackie) Maechtle of Kewaskum, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 29th at 7PM at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 166 W. Dekora St., Saukville.  Pastor Donald Ellerman will officiate.  Mary will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, Waubeka, the following day.  The family will receive visitors on Wednesday at the CHURCH from 3-7PM.  Memorials to the family are suggested.  The Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences can be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
