"I knew Vernon as a child at Peace Lutheran in Saukville. He was my "birthday twin" and for many years sent me a birthday card as we shared the same birthday, and he always made a point of being so kind to me. May he rest in peace."

"I too send my condolences to Vernon's family. My memories of visit to my Mom during the years he shared her life are endearing in many ways. Vernon's smile, his teasing and walks with Mom on the Grafton Path are there. My geographical cahnges did not permit visits in tese last years but one can never forget the times we knew him. May god Bless You and Keep you all the days of your lives! Erma (daughter of Erma Dries and sister to Barb pierron and Nancy Totzke"
"Loren and Pat: WOW, what can I say. Your dad lived a long life and I will miss him. He was so good to my MOM and I loved watching the four of you play cards at the kitchen table.....It's just too bad that these past few years have been so hard. When the mind goes, it is a difficult time to talk to someone who does not even know you. And in life there are always good memories and not so good ones, so we remember the good and smile at those memories. When Mom got sick and they were separated, that broke his heart. I can understand that as I get older and wish there were many more years ahead where I could enjoy what makes me happy now. But life has to end, and none of us will get by without that end. Miss you both and think of you often and am so grateful we got to know you during those wonderful years our parents shared. We will be sending a donation to the church as requested. Hugs, Nancy and Gene Totzke"
