Margarita D. Vitela 81, of Harlingen entered into rest Thursday, November 28, 2019. She was born October 17, 1938 in Cardenas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Timoteo and Perfecta Diaz.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jaime Vitela, Sr.
Margarita leaves behind to cherish her memory her children; Josie Vitela Garcia, Jaime "Chipper" Vitela, Laura Vitela, Dario Vitela, Claudia Vitela Faulkner and Rachel Vitela Valderrama. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will begin Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and a rosary will be at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 departing the Rudy Garza Funeral Home at 1:30 PM for a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church and interment will follow at Mont Meta Cemetery.
