Janice Kay DeBaun Sorley, 81, passed away December 1, 2019 at Sugar Grove Memory Care in Plainfield, IN. She was born in Sullivan, IN on May 20, 1938 to the late Ivan and Opal DeBaun. Janice attended George Washington High School and later worked at Bridgeport/Olin Brass. She worked alongside her husband of 59 years, Davey Sorley, helping to run Sorley's Tax Service for over 40 years.
Survivors include her five children, Brian Sorley (Stephanie), Craig Sorley (Vicki), Darin Sorley (Rebecca), Elisha Sorley White (David) and Angi Sorley Snodgrass (Jay) along with 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include; sister, Kathy DeBaun French (Phil) and daughter-in-law Jayne Sorley. The family would also like to thank caregiver, Lori Stranger Compliment, for her help these last few years. Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Davey Lee Sorley.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019 with services to immediately follow at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN.
The family would like to thank the care staff at Sugar Grove Memory Care and the Hospice Nurses for their care these past few years. Memorial contributions may be made in Janice Sorley's name to the Alzheimer's Association

"I am so very sorry for your loss. I went to Valley Mills Christian Church with Janice and Dave. They were always such nice and caring people. I would look forward to seeing them on Sunday morning and really missed their smiles and hugs when they switched churches. My thoughts and prayers are with you all! Ramona DeHart"
