"Growing up she was like a second mother to me. I remember the fudge she used to make when I came over. She taught me how to make it, but I could never get it just right. It was always too hard or too soft. Joanne would make it perfect every time. She was a great woman and the memories will be cherished forever. Please accept my condolences. We are leaving for vacation today, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you."

"I will miss calling my joaniekins every morning just to check in on them. I will miss calling her for advice. I will miss not seeing her everyday and going out to eat. I will miss the special bond her and I shared. We have been buddies and she has been here for me through my cancer through my difficult pregnancies. I miss you so much already mom. Please ask God to help ease our pain because I know you are happy up there with all of our family. Rest in peace mom and know that we are sending lots of love up to you everyday."
"Joanne and I started Kindergarden together and graduated together in 1952. We would walk to school together many times, and at noon at St. Pauls, we would go down to Walgreens fountain for our lunch. She was a great friend and I loved her. After we graduated we were each busy raising our families, so lost track of each other for awhile. I joined the Antique Memaids for exercise class and met up with Joanne again. Have great memories of her. A special one of a kind friend."
