Michael J. Baumblatt, age 76, son of the late Leonard and Ruth (Levy) Baumblatt, died Friday, June 10, 2011. Michael was a graduate of William Horlick High School, Racine, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a 1959 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He served his country in the US Army Medical Core at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, and practiced as a OB GYN in Madison, and also was employed for 30 yrs by the Social Security Disability Determination Department. Michael is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sue (Ostrow), daughter, Lori (Rabbi James) Sagarin, grandchildren, Eliana Miriam, Benjamin Matthew, daughter in love, Cristie Derrick, and a brother, Glenn. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Naomi, a brother Don, and a sister Beth. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at TEMPLE BETH EL, 2702 Arbor Dr., Madison ,WI 53711. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations in Michael's name be made to Jewish Social Services, Camp Shalom Scholarship Fund c/o Madison Jewish Federation, 6434 Enterprise Rd., Madison, WI, or Edgewood High School.
