In loving memory of

Florence R Pawlitschek
January 15, 1911 - September 11, 2007

Florence Rose Pawlitschek, daughter of the late Louis and Katherine Rose (Wyszynski) Renczykowski was born January 15, 1911 at Clay County, Iowa and baptized into the Catholic faith. When she was nine years old she moved with her parents to a farm south of Mountain Lake, then to a farm south of Bingham Lake, where her mother died in 1927. Florence quit school to help her Father with the care of seven brothers. In 1930, the family moved to a farm near Heron Lake. There she met and later married John (Jack) W. Pawlitschek on June 9, 1931 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake. They lived on various farms helping others for 5 years. In 1936, they lived and farmed on the Nick Lehnhoff farm where 3 of the children were born. In 1945 they had a farm sale and moved to Payson, Arizona where Jack was a surveyor and drummer and Florence managed a boarding house. A couple of years later, they moved to Minnesota to a farm near Heron Lake. Beginning in 1950, they rented a farm owned by Frank Jeffery, for 18 years until the estate was sold. They moved to a farmstead north of Windom in 1968 which was owned by their son-in-law, Paul J. Maras. Jack died in 1989. Florence continued living on the farm for another 11 years tending and loving her garden and flowers, sewing and was an excellent cook. She loved dancing, baby sat for others, played tarouck, worked in a bakery, and at one time helped her husband, Jack, operate a lunch wagon for area auction sales. She was good hearted and opened their home to several other people to live with them for several years at one time or another. Florence was very sports minded and loved talking sports with her family.

Florence suffered with cultaneous vascular disease since 1973. She received treatment in Rochester, St. Louis Park, Fairmont, Worthington and Windom. In the 1990's, she received the most help at Sioux Falls, SD in Rheumatology. This curtailed her active lifestyle but not her strong will and effervescent personality. Florence moved to the Heritage House in Windom in May 2000. She enjoyed living there and her motto was, "If you are good to people, they will be good to you". In 2005, she entered the Good Samaritan Home in Mountain Lake and remained there until passing away on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the wonderful age of 96.

She was a long time member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jeffers until its closing. She then became a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom and enjoyed Father Olsem?s frequent visits.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jack; eight brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her four children, Lorraine Anderson and her husband, Ray of Windom; Geraldine Maras and her husband, Paul of Windom; Lawrence Pawlitschek and his wife, Raynette of Redmond, WA; Gary Pawlitschek of Winnebago; 15 grandchildren (who are listed as casket bearers and honorary bearers), 26 great-grandchildren, Quentin, Cody, Mason, Anderson; Micara and Matt Anderson; Trenton and Robby Anderson; Hunter and Hayden Anderson; Kelsey Koch and Preston, Hailey, Jadey, Carley Kappes; Michelle Majerus; Nicole Skarphol; Jessica, Jeffrey, Rachel, Cierra, Mariah and Tristyn Maras; Cole Pawlitschek; Darby, Derek, Drake Harder; 2 step great grandchildren, Andrew Buboltz, Jessica Kalash; and 5 great-great-grandchildren, Maurissa Sommer, Seth Majerus, Sydney Skarphol and Liv Moya.
