Julie M. Lamprecht, 55 of rural Newcastle, Nebraska passed away at her residence, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, July 20, 2008, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Newcastle, Nebraska with Father David Liewer officiating. Burial was in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Newcastle.
Julie was born on December 28, 1952 in Harlan, Iowa, the daughter of Alfons and Marie (Goeres) Goeser. She grew up in Earling, Iowa and attended Harlan High School, where she graduated in 1971. She then moved to Omaha where she worked for Bell Telephone. She married Calvin Lamprecht on September 07, 1974 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Earling, Iowa. The couple moved to rural Newcastle. she worked for Blue Cross-Blue Shield as an insurance claims analyst for thirty-three years.
Julie was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Newcastle. She enjoyed animals, reading and flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Cal of Newcastle, Nebraska; one daughter, Krystle Lamprecht and her special friend, Bill Orpet of Chicago, Illinois; one son, Adam Lamprecht, at home; two brothers, Darrell Goeser of Dunlap, Iowa and David Goeser of Earling, Iowa; one sister, Jane and her husband Bill Cleary of Bismark, North Dakota; her father, Alfons Goeser of Earling, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Marie; two brothers, Duane and Dean Goeser.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Siouxland or the Siouxland Regional Cancer Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
