"Mrs. Collins and Allan - What a great man he was! Whenever I think of Muscatine I think of the Elks shows and the Geneva Country Club shows he directed. He was so much fun - so patient -so incredibly talented. I know it is a tremendous loss for all of your family. All of us in Muscatine were lucky to know him. My prayers are with you. "Max hired me at HON INDUSTRIES and I will always be grateful for it. He also encouraged me to join the Chanters which turned out to be 11 of the happiest years of my life. I loved Max. He was always kind and encouraging. He had a geat sense of humor and was a great example to all who knew him. He was a visionary at HON and the dreams of Max Stanley and Stan Howe came to life and took shape through Max's efforts."

"Max, your husband and father, had a major impact
on many lives--including mine in the early 50s.
Among other things I learned to respect and love
high standards of performance.
His enthusiasm and talents have greatly enriched
my life from high school on, and he holds a firm place
in my memories.
May the many memories he has given you and the
love and support of your many friends and family
help sustain you all as you cope with his passing.
Peace be with you.

"My memories are of a simpler time in small little drugstore on Mulberry where I worked through high school 1969-1971. I looked forward to the smiling faces of the many regular customers that would come in for a coke or milk shake. Max Collins was one of the special ones that always had something good to say to brighten a day.
God's comfort to all his family and friends. This world's loss is Heaven's gain."
