Gertrude Schneider WILTON, Iowa #45;- Gertrude H. Schneider, 91, of Wilton, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Unity Hospital. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace United Church of Christ in Wilton. The Rev. Larry Duffe will officiate. The organist will be Deb Mohr. Pallbearers will be Duane Feuerbach, Richard Pahl, Tom Grings, Lester Crumley, David Mohr, and Dick Bullard. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at Bentley Funeral Homes in Wilton and Monday one hour before services at the church. Memorials may be made to the church. Mrs. Schneider was born on Aug. 27, 1909, in Muscatine, the daughter of Fred and Marie Helbling Binggeli Sr. She married Clarence L. Schneider on Nov. 21, 1928, in New Era. He died May 10, 1974. Together they farmed north of Wilton for 40 years. Before her marriage she was employed at Van Nostrand Saddlery Co. in Muscatine. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Wilton and the ladies fellowship. She enjoyed volunteering through meals on wheels and at the Wilton Nursing Home with Bingo. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Dillaplain and her husband, John, of Muscatine; granddaughter, Rita Peterson and her husband, Terry, of Muscatine; a great-granddaughter, Michelle Barham and her husband, Kelly, of Pascagoula, Miss.; and two great-great grandchildren; Madison and Canon Barham. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; six sisters, Bertha Soltwedel, Freda Laeser, Martha Dusenberry, Eda Laeser, Lena Pape, Anna McNeal; and a brother, Fred Binggeli Jr.
