"Lin,
Through a fluke, my wife Sue, found a several year old post from you on FB wondering if I was The same Marine that knew Dan. What a shock, twice so to find this memorial to him when I searched his name.
My home address was that in Chicago that you have. We were good friends in the Corps before we were transferred to other locations. What I find unique is that after I was discharged, I also spent 28 years in law enforcement with the Orange County Sheriff in California. Birds of a feather??
My condolences even at this late date. I will look forward to seeing him at end of watch when we change the guard on heavens streets. "

What a terrible loss. We just can't believe it. He was a VERY WONDERFUL man and will be truly missed. Let's remember all the GREAT times, when he dressed up for the donkey ball game, the Halloween and Christmas parties, remember the campfire parties in your backyard when you was in town, a long time ago. Lin, you and Dan have both been GREAT to me (diane), you were there to listen and offer advice. We will never forget him or your family. If there is ANYTHING we can do for you remember to call. By the way, the service was AWESOME and Lyle did a great job on his talk. So, Lin, Terry, Tracey, Sean & Lyle and your families you have our deepest sympathy. Take Care, Love ya, Diane, Paul, Dekota & Payton"
