Dean Sessler WILTON, Iowa -Dean R. Sessler, 51, Wilton, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Unity Hospital, Muscatine. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton. The Rev. Wayne Fredericksen will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Richard Sessler and vocalist Henry Bentley. Pallbearers are John Stacer, Lee Sessler, Howard Haigh, Andrew Sessler, Samuel Sessler, Chris Bloom, Patrick Parks, and Cory Sessler. Honorary pallbearers are Dean Powers, Richard Sessler, Roger Sessler, Trent Sidders, Robert Newman, Greg Bloom, Glen Anderson, and John Moeller. Burial will be held at a later date at the Durant Cemetery, Durant. Visitations are 3-7 p.m. today at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. A memorial fund has been established. Mr. Sessler was born Aug. 8, 1951, in Muscatine, the son of Robert and Eloise Davison Sessler. He married Roseann Cummings Oct. 1, 1983, in Wilton. He graduated from Wilton High School in 1968 and from the University of Wisconsin, Platteville, in 1973 with a bachelor degree in speech and communications. He was employed as an IT specialist at Eastern Iowa Community College District for 20 years. He was an audio visual specialist at Muscatine Community College, where he produced corporate training videos. He video taped many community events. He was also a web master at the college. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was involved in Boy Scouts and enjoyed computers and gardening. Survivors include his wife; his parents, Eloise and Robert Sessler of Wilton; a daughter, Jessica Sidders and husband Trent of Lincoln, Neb.; two sons, Andrew Sessler and Samuel Sessler, both at home; a stepdaughter, Katharine Vogt of San Francisco, Calif.; a sister, Lynn Anderson and husband Glen of Whitewater, Wis.; and a brother, Lee Sessler of Eldridge. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Jonathon Vogt.
